The US Army Small Ships Section was approved for induction into the Transportation Corps Hall of Fame by Brigadier General Brian R. Layer , The Chief of Transportation , on the 9th July, 2010 in recognition of the units exceptionally distinctive service in World War 11 . Accepting on behalf of the unit, two distinguished surviving members, Mr. Philip W. Farley and Mr. Ernest A. Flint , MBE ED .

The Transportation Corps Hall of Fame  recognises those individuals & units who have demonstrated exceptionally distinctive service to the  Corps. The program was established to maintain & enhance the legacy  of the Transportation Corps & to promote cohesiveness & espirit de corps.
