THE AWARD OF THE US ARMY SEA DUTY RIBBON
On the 15th May 2009 at a Luncheon held in The Grace Hotel, Sydney, Australia, commemorating the 67th Anniversary of the Formation of The US Army Small Ships Section in World War 11.
The Chief of the US Army Transportation Corps Brigadier General Brian R Layer, presented those Veterans and the relatives of deceased Veterans who were in attendance a Certificate confirming their award of the US Army Sea Duty Ribbon together with a Ribbon and a card authorising the wearing of the Ribbon by the person named on the card.
The US Army Sea Duty Ribbon has been approved by The Congress of the United States of America, to be awarded to those who served on vessels of The Transportation Corps in time of Conflict, these Veterans earned their award by their service in the US Army Small Ships Section in World War 11.
